Mercury runs good,then dies!!

I have an 1986 Mercury 150 XR2 that starts and idles good. After I run at cruising speed for about three minutes, it will lose power and die. I can let it set for a couple minutes, repump the fuel bulb and go through the same process again. Any ideas?? Please help!!!!!!!!!!

is your vent open on gas tank

Sounds like a weak fuel pump or fuel restriction in the line.
