I just bought a new rotary steering cable foe my 84 mercury 115 two stroke.I am trying to figure out if I need to buy the nut with the grease fitting and what size to keep new cable working smooth.
Some like that and others dont, you can all ways just smear a bit on the rod your self. Personally I dont have the fitting and I smear a bit on when winterizing and during the season I use a bit of oil on it excess grease drys up and makes it stiffer.
