Mercury Throttle adjustment

I have a 9.9 HP, 2003 mercury outboard. I had a question about the throttle. When I engage my engine into gear, the throttle slips into gear with ease, but when I want to open the throttle fully, it is kind of hard, pretty stiff to move the throttle all the way down (open). I was wondering if there is a way to adjust that, so that it is easier to move the throttle to the open position, with a little more ease/smoothness? thanks for any replies....

first is it tiller or remote control? need more info. you are looking at it. we're not

Very true, sorry about that, it is an electric start, center console, remote control model, it has a throttle advance-only button, a kill switch, no hydraulics, everything works on it fine, just wondering if I can make the throttle advance a little smoother? thanks....
