This is my old Mercury Thruster R28 bow mount trolling motor. The foot control, cables, and wiring was completely trashed, so I just removed all of it. I removed the busted up bow mount assembly, and cut off the excess shaft. The trolling motor works, but its been 3yrs since I tore down all the bits & pieces. I could use some help with the wiring. I only need HIGH Forward!
I have a 12GA RED, 12GA WHITE, 16GA YELLOW, 16GA BLUE
As you can see, I'm doing a mock up for a custom mount on my canoe.
I have a 32AH Deep Cycle to power the motor. Its getting one of my DIY power center battery boxes. It will have a master rotary switch, and a foot switch to run the trolling motor. Since I only plan on using the motor to travel distances greater than I could reasonably do with a paddle, I don't need steering or lower speeds. Ill drop a paddle in the water to steer, and can paddle while fishing.
