mercury v6 16 amp stators, what part #'s

I have a 1991 v135 with a stator #398-5454-a34 and wanted to
know what other part numbers would be compatible. The mercury
parts express site lists 398-5454-a35 for my motor. CDI's replacement
# is 174-5456-16 it says it replaces 398-5454 A11, A15, A16, A30, A31, A32, A34, A35, A36, A61, A64, A66 (6 Cyl.); Sierra: 18-5860, 18-5861
would all of these work. I'm trying to find a good used one but don't
want to waste money on something that's incompatible. According to
members here I have a 16 amp flywheel, and a 16 amp is listed for my
model# on merc's part site.

398-5454 a34, 398-5454 a35, 174-5456-16 (CDI). Don't know 'bout tha Sierra stuff..............

Thanks Duke, would all the part #'s the CDI replaces work as well or just
the a34 and a35? I found a cheap a36 but don't know if it will work.

a36 will work. Any of those numbers will work. Some are just a little more constant at a higher rpm (stem winder motors) which is something you probably don't have ta consider...............

I'm lookin' at one also. If its tha same one I will leave it alone. I don't really need it............

There are a couple on ebay i'm looking at, thanks for the replies and the
consideration Duke. I missed out on a pair of switchboxes for $75 last week
but I wanted to wait till my DVA arrives before i buy boxes. Thanks again!
