Mercury70 after shift engine go out.

Hallo friends.<br />I have Mercury 70HP Thunderbold SN: 9176921 2 strokes 3 cylinders Year production 1985 ????<br />After shift forward speed or astern, engine go out ( two, three rotation speed propeller ), as it were didn't have enforcement. <br />Is it same and at increased speed. <br />Thank you for your help. Sqeeze the primer bulb and look for fuel to be dripping out the carbs.<br /><br />Increasing the idle might help as well.<br /><br />Check the compression and spark.<br /><br />TMD

That sounds like a normal problem, like the one I had. It would be a good idea to go ahead and redo majority of your fuel system. Replace fuel hoses and use screw tight hose clamps instead of those zip ties, replace fuel line connector to motor, rebuild fuel pump "$5.00 job," and rebuild your carborators. <br /> Fuel pump, no problem, but when doing your carborators, if not experianced, you will need our help... Its a real easy job and you'd be suprised :D Let us know what you decided
