Messenger question

I have been offline at home for a while and when I re-connected, I had to install Messenger 7.0, so I did. <br />Now everytime I start my computer, I get this message; it reads:<br /><br />Sorry, but you must have messenger 4.6(minimum), on your system for messenger plus! to work properly. <br /><br />I downloaded messenger 7.0 on my computer using Firefox. Does it make a difference if I downloaded it with FireFox, instead of IE? <br /><br />So, I went and found messenger 4.6 online and downloaded it, but when it downloaded, it actually only corrected problems. It did not actually download. <br /><br />How do I fix this problem? <br /><br />Thanks in advance.<br />B.C.

I think i experienced the same problem. What i did was completely unistalled all of the MSN programs, and then reinstalled only the version that i wanted which was version 7.0. From what I have heard, you will wanna stay away from Messenger Plus, because it is very prone to viruses. <br /><br />Also another way to use Messenger is through Messenger Web, at the msn homepage. Works really well with high speed, very poor with dialup.<br /><br />Belchy
