So I have a mid 70's johnson 115 hp when I took it for a ride this weekend had it running at almost full power when out of no where it just died on me. The battery is fully charged, turn the key to start and get nothing from the starter. After doing some hunting with a volt meter I have no power to the key switch or the electrcial choke. Have power to the believe the stator right where the power comes in the motor. I followed that to the long wire bar under the black cover right above the cdi box. The only spot I have power is the beleve 6th wire which is red. Followed that to a little relay or something simialar where there is on red and 2 yellow that is where I lost power. Any thoughts on my problem may be?

Did you find the main 20A fuse under the motor cover, in the wiring harness, and check it?
THe power for the key switch/choke comes off of that fuse.

No I didn't see anything that looked liked a fuse to me. Are those the odd round black looking things?
