mid 70's johnson 6, wqter leak at intake??????

looking at buying what looks like a mid 70's johnson 6hp ( just from pics on the ad) . the seller says it has a small water leak at the intake manifold. i cant quite make that story add up......whats the most probable cause of a water leak on that end of the motor????

the best info from the seller i got was " it leaks a small amount of water behind the carb at the intake manifold...probably just needs a gasket."

There should be no water at or in the intake manifold to leak out. Your seller doesn't know what he is talking about, OR there is something serious to be concerned about.
