Hi guys I have yet another question about my 1150 inline 6 cylinder. Its a mid 80s model.

The electrical choke used to work but then I noticed it would take forever to start and started checking things out and noticed the electrial choke stopped working.

When I press the choke button on the shifter housing the choke does not move. Of course the manual choke works so it is not frozen.

Does anyone know of a place I can get the circuit information for this circuit?

If not any help troubelshooting this would be greatly appreciated.

Troy, if this is a mid 80's engine it should have an enrichening system, not a choke. If it does have the choke set up the wiring is fairly simple. Give us the serial number and we can give you better direction.

It has a choke, on the top of the engine it says manual choke.

Serial number is 4701195

Like I stated before it used to work from the push button choke beside the gear shift.

If need I can take a picture.

From looking at some pictures on Bam Marine it looks like the round plunger piece came out of the choke solenoid...can that be fixed?

I will have a look at it in the morning.

Your engine is a 1977. If you still have the plunger it can be re inserted. It sounds like the wire on the plunger that connects to the choke plate has broken.
