mid- throttle question

mind boggling.... my 75hp, 1985 ob merc idles fine and runs at full throttle fine. when you are just above idle and mid throttle it skips, seems to cut out on 1-2 of the cylinders. throttle up it's fine. it's a 4 cyl... anybody.... any thoughts??
