midrange cough/sputter

2000 25 horse 2 stroke, runs great at idle, easy to start and WOT is no problem. But, when I'm going about 1/3 to 1/2 throttle, it will cough/sneeze a bit. I've ran a tankful of seafoam through it, and it helped some, but didn't eliminate it. Doesn't matter if the motor is cold or warmed up, still does it.

Any thoughts? Should I just buy a carb kit and be done with it?

Thanks,
Skidz

Try to richen your slow speed needle just a little at a time and see if you can dial the sneeze out. If not a carb. kit and good cleaning would not be a bad idea. Best of luck. Rick.
