Mildew?

I have recently developed a white/greenish powdery substance on the inside of my boat covers. Yes it was very humid and damp here on Long Island for a while. The material is sumbrella(blue in color). It only seems to be on the under side and not on vertical curtins. Most can be brushed off, but then there some that is somewhat stubborn. Sound familar? Any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Spray it down and scrub it off with diluted bleach solution (maybe 1 part bleach to 5 parts water?) to kill it, rinse with clear water, then make sure everything dries completely.

Make sure that you double rinse as clorene (in any form) will "eat" the thread that holds the canvas together.

I use tough stuff it works very effictively.
