I have recently purchased a 97 four winns 180 horizon rs, and have found that there is water in the engine block, it does not appear to be too bad it is not gooey more like runny. people have told me that Iam going to have to replace the engine, whereothers have told me that it may just be the intake manifold, or the heads. the engine is a 4.3 liter v 6 volvo penta with gm block.
can anyone give suggestions
Thank you for your time

could be a lot of things but the question is was it winterized properly?
Start by draining whats in there an add fresh oil ,drain the block and manifolds, remove the drive and using NO WATER ,try and start it.

You should drain the oil and refill with new oil and check your compression. If you have good comp you may just have a bad intake or head gasket. If you have bad comp then do a leakdown test and you will find the leak.Motors cost a lot and you may be able to fix the one you have, unless you have a bunch of money layin around. Milky means water is in your oil. Not good but fixable if engine has not run this way very long.

Ayuh,... Welcome Aboard Fireguy,... Are you also a Handyguy,..??

Completely draining the motor of fluids,+ pressurizing the cooling system of the block can lead to to Where it's Broken....
Follow the Sound of excaping air,... 15psi is all it takes...
