Milky oil in lower unit

I have 1996 Ocean Pro. Drained the gearcase at the end of the season to find milky oil. Resealed the unit and ran the next season with the same result.
There isn't any visible cracks in the case. The driveshaft does have some left to right movement (not sure if this is normal).
Thought there might be a problem with bearing housing causing water to leak in but the rollers look fine as well.
Propshaft is smooth and snug.

I've had the unit sitting assembled full of kerosene and not a drip.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Vic.

Did you replace the fiil/drain plug washers? Vacuum test would be next step..

Vacuum and pressure tests needed to nail it, both done with oil drained. You clearly still have a leak or leaks.

Re: Milky oil in lower unit

Pressurized the unit, no leaks until I moved the input shaft left to right. The movement is where the lower and upper driveshaft connect. The service manual says they're attached via spline and roll pin.
I would think that movement would never happen, since the shaft will true up when the lower unit is bolted in.
All the bearings look fine.
Is there a bushing where the drive shaft slides into the power head that could be worn out causing the driveshaft to wobble and let water in?

Vic
