Milky Oil

I have a 1992 Volvo Penta 230 I/O ...the oil is milky...I have no idea where to start. Any suggestions?

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,... How 'bout alittle History,...

With the available Info,... I'd say ya got a cracked block, 'n need a new motor....

Do you have a 230A or B? the A model has an oil cooler that could have been damaged by freezing or corrosion.

Hopefully you kept antifreeze in your closed cooling system so it wouldn't freeze the block.

Do you mean the engine oil or the outdrive oil? The wording can go either way to me, just sayin'.. :)

The problem is in the block. I do have the "A" model with the oil cooler. The problem developed sometime during last summer. Now preparing to put it in the water and need to find where the leak could be. Head gasket? I have no idea where to start.
