All the answers to the equasion are multiples of 9. IE 9, 18, 27, 36, etc. Every time you click on the "crystal ball" it displays the character associated with the 9's multiples. Every time you click to play again, it changes the symbols on the 9's multiples so you think its working differently for different numbers. Just click away and watch the 9's symbols change in the table. Neat trick. Some if these old numbers games work better with new technology than they did with old!

yeah, it is a trick. It does matter what number you pick- the math always leaves a corresponding number with the sickle.
