I have a co-pilot on my trolling motor. I can not get my co-pilot to plug in for wireless operation. The pins are very badly shape, plus the plug housing is somewhat deformed??? I can plug in and use the front petal, but I would like to use the wireless...Where can I get new plug arrangement for co-pilot?

Have you tried Minn Kota Customer Service, Sport? That's the first place I would go.

Yes, I called customer support. They said they don't have replacement plugs for co-pilot. Didn't tell me whom I could contact for help?

Re: minkota co-pilot wireless plug needs replacement

Suppose you sent them the unit that plugs in and asked for repair? They would probably replace the whole thing.

You could ask them what they would charge for "repair".

In my many years of twidgeting I spent many hours realigning pins on multi-pin plugs to avoid the hassle of replacing them. I made a little tool out of part of a socket (1 pin socket) and a mini screw driver and went at them one pin at a time. That usually worked. . .the more patient I was the better it worked. . . :)

Good luck. :)

The pins aren't the problem, the plug is deformed...tbc

Re: minkota co-pilot wireless plug needs replacement

call customer service agian this morning. Service stated there is not a replacement plug. He said the only option is to buy new unit. What a rip off? I told him mine is the saltwater version and garaged when not in use. I really like my wireless but would like a new plug, not new unit? Also said they haven't had this problem before, which I find hard to believe, means I'm lucky #1
