Is there a way to tighten up foot pedal steering control so I don't have to constantly hold my foot on the pedal and try to fish, too? I'd like to set my direction of troll and go back to fishing while motor is in continuous mode. mine will swivel all around where ever it feels like going, if I don't keep foot on pedal.

There should be a friction adjustment on the foot pedal. Check your manual or contact Minnkota customer service for help.

Yep, there is a phillips head screw under the foot control that adjusts the cable tension. Mine came very loose from the factory.

Hey, Thanks Silvertip and Rudy........ That was my problem, no manual came with it since it was used. Sure am glad to hear it, was not looking forward to steering and then fishing and then steering, well, some of us can't walk and chew gum at same time, uhmm, well, I can do that, but I didn't think I was liking the foot pedal too much the way mine was so loose.
