minn kota 765 mx tm help

i have the above trolling motor but was needing a schematic for the control board and the foot pedal board or a way to test them to see what is wrong the foot control will turn motor left and right but will not turn motor on or adjust speed i have put a toggle switch on it and the motor is ok and runs but no speed adjustment need any info you guys can give me i cant afford a new one at this time so need help getting it right i called minn kota but not much help

Take the foot pedal apart by the springs. There is a contact plate (a 2nd by the mom/constant button on newer models) where the pedal pushes down against. Clean the spots and it should work. I've had to do it on my 765mx before.

The problem with the contacts is that the circuit board contact pad gets a hole poked into it and moisture gets under the membrane causing corrosion. The board is easily replaced, but it costs nearly as much as a new foot control.
