I cannot find a picture of the head of the new C2 anywhere.
There are no brochures and you cannot download an owners manual so information is rather scarce.
That all seems rather stupid to me.
Does the new Endura C2 have a battery gauge, lights or other indicator on it that will show the battery voltage or status?

Re: Minn Kota Endura C2 Motors

Well not getting an answer here I called them and found out that it did not have an indicator of any kind.
I did send them an email saying that perhaps advertising might want to put a pix of the head of the unit somewhere in there site or internet and include a list of what is needed or comes with the motor for those like me that don't know. I also suggested they include some specifications like typical amperage draw and the like for the motors.

I got an email from them offering to subscribe me to their newsletter which I had requested so I pressed the link and this is what I got.

"The resource cannot be found.
Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Requested URL: /optin.aspx"

I certainly hope their products are better than there documentation on the website and their links to their newsletters.

On edit, I got a very quick reply from their contact point on this. They had me forward the exact email I got offering the subscription. At least they responded quickly so they can fix the problem. That link is sure screwed up!

Re: Minn Kota Endura C2 Motors

Any marina or boat store that sells MinnKota products has a literature rack for their line of boats, motors, and trolling motors including a very detailed catalog of MinnKota products. Just for your information, there is no such thing as "average current draw". How you use the motor, the type of boat it is installed on, the load you carry all affect current draw because of the "load" the motor is being asked to move. The catalog does specify "maximum current draw". The catalog (2010) is 71 pages long and I suspect the 2011 version is about the same. I just visited the website and there is a link to the Endura C2 but the link to ALL of the trollers is unavailable at this time. Not at all uncommon since maintenance does need to be done periodically. Try again later.

Re: Minn Kota Endura C2 Motors

I am in the mountains of AZ. There are no marinas or even anyplace that sells trolling motors of any kind within 100 miles of me.
It's nice to know the info exists and it should be a download on their website, which is what I have told them. Just an oversight I am sure. I know I would rather let someone download the information rather than supply them with a brochure, which by the way I have requested and just not received as of this date.
And a max current draw would be a nice figure to have.
The problem is that I am ready to buy and I am really having trouble getting some information. Most I get here, piecemeal as I go from members.
The good news I did get is that typically mid month Feb is when they will put rebates and the like up on their website that may help save me a few dollars on my purchase.

On edit~I just found out they do have a downloadable catalog that I missed. Apparently it's an older version as it does not list a 45# Endura and it makes no reference to a C2 but it's better than nothing. Here is a link http://www.minnkotamotors.com/_docs/Minn_Kota_2009_Catalog_3MB.pdf

If you look at the very last page of that document it provides the maximum current draw for all the motors. But you don't really need a chart for that anyway. A 55# motor draws about 50 amps, a 40 draws about 40, and 30 draws about 30. Doesn't matter who makes it as the numbers will be very close.
