Minn Kota Motors~what do they come with?

Nobody sells trolling motors locally so I have to ask as I will have to order one or drive some distance to buy one.
Do the motor's come with short battery cables? Or do I supply them separately?
I have never owned a trolling motor before but as a lot of the local lakes where I have moved restrict me to one I will be buying one.
I can't even look at a manual online with Minn Kota. I guess they are a secret.

I believe 6' of battery cables.

OK, thanks, I could not believe they would leave you with nothing.
If that's what they come with it will be plenty for my aluminum boat.

Don't forget to buy a circuit breaker of the proper size for the motor. It installs at the battery positive post.

Thanks but I think I will just use a quick disconnect plug. I already have several from another hobby and they are rated at 75 amps continuous.
In my little aluminum boat it will be easy to disconnect should there be a problem.

A circuit breaker has a totally different purpose than a quick disconnect. PLEASE get the breaker. If the wires see a short circuit, the wires and your quick disconnect will get VERY HOT!!! Unless you have asbestos hands, you want the circuit breaker to open the circuit for you. They are only about $10 or $12 if I recall correctly and connect directly to your positive battery terminal. Much safer!

I spent some 35 years maintaining electronics equipment for the navy as a civilian on the subs and another 5 as an electrician supervisor before retirement.
