Minn Kota Pontoon 65 trolling motor

I have the Minn Kota Pontoon 65 P trolling motor and find it diffcult to lift the shaft in/out of the water as it does not have a cord attached to it to help lift it.<br /><br />Does anyone else have this issue with there Minn Kota Pontoon trolling motor and have you found a fix to help make it easier to lift up the shaft?<br /><br />Thanks

Pboat, I had the same problem, being not as young as I once was and not implying that you as old as I am. I found that a good spray of Silicone lubricant on the shaft and the support it passes through works wonders. I have one mounted on the bow of a Bennington 165 pontoon. Duct tape to hold things and something slick to make them move, that is all you need.
