Minn Kota shaft problem

I own a Minn Kota Riptide 74lb thrust trolling motor and I noticed it making a different sound and it was vibrating. After removing the prop, I noticed that the metal pin that goes through the shaft was broken on one side allowing the prop to rub against the foot of the motor. Can this pin be removed and replaced, or does the entire shaft need to be changed? Do you know of any websights that the required part could be purchased? Thank you in advance for your help.

If you buy a replacement prop, it will come with that pin. Then you can keep the old prop for a spare.

You don't need a new prop. Just buy a package of bronze brazing rod (same diameter as your pin) at any hardware store. Cut as many spares as you want. Don't use too small a diamter as the rocking and start/stop motion of the shaft will prematurely shear the pin or oblong the shaft hole. In fact, you might examine the hole as it may already be oblonged which is why the existing pin broke. Did you happen to hit a rock lately??
