I have a Minn kota PD70 24 volt and when I press the pedal to move forward once I seen the prop move but other than that all I get is a single click from inside the "control base"? (Im sure that isnt the proper term but Im gonna try to stay on subject) Left and right electric movement is ok.I thought maybe something in the foot pedal was off but with it clicking inside the unit when pedal is pressed t seems to be receiving some sort of signal anyway. Thinking of opening it up to poke around with a VOM. Any thoughts on this problem would be appreciated.

Probably the PC board in the foot pedal has a bad contactor (switch). No -- the switch is not replaceable as it is part of the PC board. If you are handy and electrically savy however you could rig a switch to the pedal. Replacement pedals are about $75.

Thanks Silvertip, I will start with the pedal on diagnosing. I was just a little unsure because of hearing the noise up front when I pressed the pedal but I have seen your other posts and know you are pretty knowledgeable on these things. Any other experience on this is still appreciated.

You were right, not to much you can do with the pedal but I got lucky, I took it apart, sprayed some electrical contact cleaner in there worked the switches a little and presto, started working again. Might be a temp. fix but it does work for now. Thanks for the help
