Minnkota Terrova question

I have a Minnkota Terrova with the I pilot installed on it and does anyone know if the universal sonar that it comes with is something that will work with most hummingbird depth finders/ plotters... I hooked my 597 to it with the proper cable last weekend and it did not seem to work.. Curious if it is compatible or not. I just bought the boat with no manual and can't find one online..

Check with MinnKota Customer Service. If they have an adapter cable it must be compatible.

The 200kHz beam should work on the universal sonar. If this is a DI unit, you might need a splitter cable from HB. DI won't work from the universal sonar. Look on the HB transducer select menu, probably has a "unerversal" transducer selection option.

I found a terrova manual and the 597 is not on the compatability chart.

Both HB and MK are owned by Johnson Controls. Call HB tech support and discuss. There should be a way, for it to work with the 200kHz. You might need a splitter, from HB and a certain pigtail from MK. If it is a non-DI model, there should be already a pigtail that works. Is there a link to the MK manual?
