Hey everybody, for anyone who has been following my thread on my little jon boat to center console build here is were I am at today. Put her in the water today for a test run and it did great. I had 3 people in it and ran a solid 28MPH in quite a bit of chop. It was cavitating pretty bad so I put a doel-fin plate on and took care of that problem. I don't have a tach installed right now but if anyone can help me with this I would appreciate it. I waited until later this eve for the wind to calm down and for smooth water and took the boat out alone, when I go WOT the motor starts to bog down but if I back it off a tad it picks back up. I am not sure what is causing this but I know it could produce a bit more because it really isn't reving too much and as soon as I push that throttle forward all the way easing into it after on plane it just bogs down but it doesn't stall out it just slows down. If anybody know were I should look for a solution let me know. If I need to post the is another forum I will I just thought I would start here since everybody was so nice while helping me with my other questions while I was on this project. Thanks again!!!

Re: Minor Issues w/ Yamaha

You have the symptoms of a fuel restriction. Test first with a seperate tank to help isolate the problem.
