miss during gradual acceleration

thanks for the tips on previous posts.....my 89 evinrude 120 has developed a miss at gradual acceleration. accelerate quickly and its fine but slow it will cut out......any thoughts??

Try a timing light on all of the cyl's (one at a time)and look for erratic flash while accelerating slowly. Also verify sync and linc is correct. Check to see if timing advance is rotating smoothly during slow acceleration. If you stop accelerating when miss starts does it go away or continue to miss? If it continues, you may have a clogged jet or two. Check plug condition to see if any are fouled also.<br />Good Luck
