Missing bolt?

I noticed a shiny threaded hole on the upper, starboard side of my stern bracket. Looks like something recently vibrated loose or something. I cant for the life of me figure out what is supposed to be installed here. Below are some pics. 2nd pic is an overview, 1st pic is zoomed in. The threaded hole is right above the "M" on the "OMC" boss. The model number of the motor is XE90TSLECM. Can anyone shed some light for me? Thanks in advance.

thanks for the response. Wonder what would be grounded to the stern bracket.

You're right, I was looking at the view backwards. Thank you, but now I'm even more confused. It appears my ground lead (and the bolt) are missing, so my question is, when I order the new one, and bolt it in, where does the other end of the lead comment to? Weird that my tilt/trim still works, and everything else, but I'm missing a ground?

If anyone has a similar setup, I'd really appreciate it if they could post a pic of it so I can wrap my head around this. Thanks in advance

Just wanted to bump this up. I'm struggling finding anything on line about this. My next option is to go the stalker route, camp out at the boat ramp, and wait for someone with my motor to pull up so I can check it out.

Not sure why you are struggling with this.----You found out right here that it is a ground strap !

Because I am extremely anal. I understand that its a ground strap, but don't know where the other end goes. In other words, I realize one end is bolted into that threaded hole I found, but where does the other end connect to?
