Missing deflector stop Chysler 1977 135

What is the function of the deflector stop and should I cobble one together. Pic shows I don't have one.

It's supposed to stop the motor from hitting the cover.
Not really necessary.
If you really want to replace it I might have one.
U pay shipping and it's yours(if I can find it). J
