Missing idle air control valve!

2007 Mercruiser 5.0 MPI with alpha 1 gen 2 outdrive. I have been going through the motor this spring and wanted to check the IAC valve. After removing the air cleaner come to find there is no IAC! There are two bolt holes where it should be attached. There is no hanging connector or lines left unhooked. Is it normal to NOT have one on this motor??

What is your serial number?

Your motor may have the IAC on the intake item 8

Would you happen to have digital throttle and shift?

Your TB looks like item 10 ?

If so, then you would not have a IAC, the throttle is PCM controlled and opens/closes as needed to control idle
