I seem to be missing the vent hose on my impeller housing on my 1986 Peterborough bowrider 3.0 Cobra. I bought my boat last year and it never had it and only noticed recently on a detailed diagram that it even exists.<br /><br />Q: Do I need it? I have been functionning without it for a year now. I do appear to have a temp problem...at least it looks that way from my temp guage. Not sure if this is related. I changed the impeller, thermostat and temp sending unit. Still shows 3/4 of the way to hot when its fully warm.<br /><br />I also have a small hair line crack on the belly of the manifold. It drips very slowly about a drop of water a second. The boat is a fresh water boat, so I don't think a hole new manifold will be required. I heard some folks just get the crack grinded out and get it welded.<br /><br />Any thoughts?
