Our Volunteer fire department has a MK2 GR (spain) and we've apparently lost the instruction manual. Is there a resource out there? I'm specifically looking for written instructions for inflation and maintenance

I bought a new MK2 GR (Spain) this year, and was told they don't even make a manual for it!

Since I have owned other inflatables, was not too concerned.

Assembly is the same as any of the collapsible floor type boats.

Pressure is higher than on the PVC Zodiacs. It gives the pressure right by the valve on mine. I think it is 3.4 psi. A pressure guage is handy if you don't already have one.

The intercommunicating valves are great once you get used to them.

Sorry I don't know of any written material, but let me know if I can be of further help.

Re: MK2 GR inflation instructions

Thanks R&O.
Guess we didn't lose the manual. We never got one. I'll have to write up a set of instructions.
We have the guage in the kit but are lost with the intercommunicating valve. How do they work?
Appreciate the help!

These valves each connect two chambers, one rear chamber and the front chamber. So if both valves are set so the chambers are connected then you can inflate the whole boat from one valve.

To inflate, the valve must be in the inflate zone (notice the little arrow on the valve and the writing on the fabric tab under the valve)

Take a look inside the valve with a flashlight, with both caps off. Turn the valve while you look, you will see when the two holes in the inner valve body line up with the two holes in the outer valve body. That is the spot where the valve is communicating with both chambers. Set both valves to this spot and then cap off one side and inflate the boat from the other valve. I use a shop vac to get the boat mostly inflated then top off with the foot pump.

Make sure you turn both valves to the navigate zone when finished inflating so if one chamber gets a puncture the other chambers remain inflated.

the manual is about $60 and is full of many languages...you only get about 14 useable pages out of 60 pages
