Hello all,<br />Can I safely jumper the "red" terminal to the "white" terminal on a 1972 Merc 650 to test for spark? I would jumper at the powerhead terminal block. I would pull motor over w/ length of rope via flywheel. Could this damage rectifier, switch box or other electrical stuff.<br />I have the engine on a stand w/o harness hooked up.<br />Also, what is the correct Champion plug for this engine.<br />Thanks,<br />Pat
