I'm new to the board so bare with me as i post my questions, First I want to make sure I'm taking about the correct type of hull, vee hull at the bow turning into flat bottomed at the stern, is this correct? The second thing is I'm in the middle of replacing the floor and stringers (this forum has been a huge help)I have removed the back 2/3rds of floor and stringers and when i got out of the boat today i noticed that the hull(floor) was flexing. What should i do about this when i comes time to put in the new stringers? My boat is a 18 foot fiberglass runabout I'm not sure the year or make but it is an older boat late 60's early 70's maybe?

18footer, welcome to the board. I'm afraid I can't help you much, but if you haven't already, you may want to post this in the project boats area.<br />Good luck with your boat.

Re: mod-vee hull

Welcome!! - Was the hull flexing in the middle as in up and down or were the sides flexing in and out?
