How does Johnson distinguish a 2 stroke from a 4 stroke, in the model number?<br /><br />J25ELEE 25 hp 1999, 2 stroke or 4 stroke?<br /><br />Did OMC Johnson even make small 4 strokes?
Johnson and Evinrude used to make their own 8-9.9-15hp 4 strokes, now the Johnson line uses Suzuki models. There is a "4" at the end of the model number.<br /><br />I believe the early models had an "F" in the number.
