I recently inquired about the model and serial number placement for my 1975 55HP Chrysler. I found it but wanted to double-check my results. My model # is: 559HG. Here's my question. My dad always told me this was a 1975 Chrysler (He bought it new in 1975). From one of the manuals I have, the letters at the end represent the year. HA = 1970, HB = 1971, etc. Therefore I would have a 1976. Is this a correct assumption? Also the 3rd number according to the manual indicates some important features. On mine, this would indicate a long shaft, electric start with the "magnapower" ignition. Is this a correct assessment on my part?

Thanks you,

Shane
