Modern gauges for SSV-176 Glasstron

Hello, rebuilding control panel and starting rewire through out. Wonder if I can purchase general gauges and switches for project or do I have to get something special or spec grade for these. Thank you very much.

Your doing a complete rewire, you can buy any kind you like. They all work pretty much the same, only the senders are changed. So if your starting from scratch (sounds like you are) get which ever ones you want

Don't know what you consider to be "general purpose" gauges but if you are thinking anything from an auto store, those will not work nor would they last in a damp marine environment. If you mean U.S. marine gauges, then yes -- any of those (Faria - Teleflex, etc) will work. Understand that the gauges and senders must match.
