Hey guys....seeing as how I ain't real good at puters, thought I'd ask a question about my monitor. It's started going to a funny yellowish tint on and off.....just like now. The screen will be nice and bright and then go to this pee yellow tint. Makin' me nuts. Is this something in the puter or is the monitor saying by-by?

If the connection is loose at either end, sometimes the colors will be off. Also, if connected to a video adapter in a slot, make sure it's fully seated.

Maybe if you use the bathroom more often .... the backup could be having an effect on your system.

Just a thought!

I just went to a LCD flat screen and it gave me massive amount of desk space when I removed the old moniter.

Bob

If it has a "degauss" button, press it. If you have anything with a magnet (like wireless phone or non-pc speakers) in it near by, move it.

If you buy a new LCD monitor, be sure it has fine resolution, some cheap models get a bad grain pattern to them depending on the font and graphic they are displaying. Very annoying. Cheap CRT monitors generally have better picture quality and color depth than cheap LCD's.

I agree, check connections first. Then if that isn't the case turn off and back on. That will usually degausss it for you. Although, the yellow symptoms you are describing sound terminal.

Sean
