Well I took my boat out pulled the rope to start her up and the
rope did not go back in the moter. So I opened it up and thing the
rope attaches to that the parts catalog I got with the motor calls a
starter spool had broken in half. It is a Montgomry Ward sea king
10hp model vwb-52110. Would anybody be able to help me find out
where I could find one of these. It is only the second time out on my
new very much loved boat and because I have spent more money then my
wife "really" wanted me too she is now a little upset that in her
opinion I spent money on garbage. I am hopeing that I can even find
one being that it is a 1975 motor ( I think) Any info will be much
apretiated.

Hi Mike
Sounds like you need a new wife. You are correct your motor is a 1975 model. It was made by Chrysler for Montgomery Ward to sell under their Sea King brand. If you look for places that deal in Chrysler parts I'm sure you will find your spool. Good luck.

Yep, I think the odds are better than even. If you can post your freind's mod#, I might be able to say for sure.
