Re: Monterey...?

A few years ago it was easy to find posts by unhappy Monterey owners. Now that situation seems to have improved greatly.

No mention here of which type Monterey. I have not seen their cruisers. The bowriders are roughly on a par with Chaparral SS, Ebbtide, Four Winns, Regal. Though the design themes can be very different among those brands. Generally priced under Chaparral SSi, Crownline, and Sea Ray. I do like the Monterey 200LS and 218LS bowriders.

Here is another thread with Monterey owners -

Opinions on Monterey 190LS

Kelly Cook

Re: Monterey...?

Toby, I have a '98 Monterey 256 Cruiser I bought new and couldn't be happier. My dealer wasn't the greatest to work with but the factory is great.
john

I had a 2300 Cuddy for several years and we were very happy with the boat. Fit and finish were above average and the boat had a great ride. I wil second the comment above regarding the factory. They were very helpful.

Re: Monterey...?

I have a 2002 218LS and love it. Bought it new this spring (last year model closeout) and have only had it out 4 times, but so far so good. Fit and finish seem to be above average in price range, ride is just fine, no porpoising, gets on plane quickly. I have the 5.7L EFI Merc/Alpha 1 combo, and have plenty of power.

John
