I have a vintage M.W. Sea King 8 1/2 HP outboard I recently acquired . I was wondering what year it is .I BELIEVE it is 1935-1936 model 492 Twin because of a picture I saw on-line . I was wondering if someone could tell me where I could find Model # and Serial # ? I'd seen several numbers on various parts of motor but I'm sure they are part numbers for those specific pieces . Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You !

I looked quickly and found that if it is a model 492 (8802) then it is 1935 - 1936. If 8808 then it is1937-1938, and if 8811 then 1939 - 1941. I think some of those older motors have a model or serial number on the flywheel.
