Recently purchased a K500 and haven't got the fuel line yet from previous owner. Cleaned the points and replaced the plug and it will fire with a little fuel shot into the carb. I need the female side of the quick-coupler but don't know what might fit. Going to try the coupler off of my nissan which is about a 100 miles from here and with the cost of gas I really don't want to make that trip for something that won't work. Does anyone know if another type might fit, like a honda or something else? I really don't want to replace the original or rig something else up. Since this was a yard sale find I am just wanting to get it running and sell it for a quick buck. A chrysler force might work but don't know. As always I find help here, so thanks in advance for any good info.

Jim, that is close but mine doesn't have an oring. It might work. There is a bass pro about 30 miles away I will give them a try. Thanks Jim.

That connector can be had at almost any marine dealer.
Take a pic of yours or take the motor when you go.
That style of connector is junk. The rubber inside is very susceptible to Ethanol.
I had 2 on my boat when I bought it.I cut them out and threw them away the first week.
Try changing to the OMC kind.

Usually the Jap motor parts won't fit.
The Yamaha connectors look like OMC but won't fit.
Nissan is probably the same.
Wally world has connectors too.

Tried two marine dealers, walmart, napa, haven't gone to bass pro yet. just going to convert to omc style. Found a 12' jonboat to put it on, great shape, with seats, for $200. I think I got a deal, but not looking forward to telling the wife.
