I just picked up a good looking Montgomery Ward SeaKing 5 hp outboard motor at a yard sale.

It's a Model K500 2106A
Serial Number 710328
Type No. 60 27405 R

Can anyone tell me what year this is and if there is an owners manuel somewhere to be had?

Thank you for your help!

1973 and you might luck out and find some literature on de-bay but the Intertec service manual for motors under 30 HP from 1969 on is pretty good.
Intertec calls for a 48/1 fuel/oil mix using TCW-3 but I wouldn't be willing to gamble on less than 32/1 were it mine. Nor would I be dogmatic about TCW-3. In all other applications similar Clinton engines used oil for air-cooled motors which is SUPPOSED to be more forgiving of temperature extremes.

Thank you very much Tom. I appreciate the info. I will look into getting the Intertec Service Manual you recommended.
