I am looking to purchase a new 2003 Moomba Mobius and was looking for a little advise. I have done a lot of research and I think that bang-for-the-buck this is the best option for me. I am looking for any personal experience. Like I said I have studied the technical aspects and am looking for applicable, operator experiences.
Thanks!

Re: Moomba Mobius

Chiman.. I have'nt been around the waterski comunity for a few years so I'm a little shy of info on the Mobius, but I would say it will likely have typical inboard handling charicteristics... You'll probably be spoiled and will never want to ski behind anything other than an inboard again... :D

Handling when pulling skiers will require little driver input except for the hardist pulling skiers.. (they'll make you work a little to keep straight in any boat:D )

The inboard design typicaly does not lend itself to backing up with good direction control so before you try zipping around the dock take the boat out in the middle of the lake and try to get a handle on backing up... A little throttle control and rudder movement and you'll have some control in reverse.. Takes a while to master it.. :)

I don't know if they are still using fiberglass covered plywood for the floors or if they have gone to all composite, anyway, it's to keep the inside as dry as possible especially the carpet (I know it's hard, wetsuits, ect.) and keep it covered..

That's all I got.. Grab your wakeboard and go grind a dock...
