I have the same problems as Ken did. Lots of snow on my TV.
I have a splitter at the main cable and one more splitter a 100 feet down the line. From there it splits 20 feet one way and 30 feet the other.
Only once in a while will I get good reception.
And when I say good reception, I mean there is snow on the screen, but not that much, but it is still there.
I have done everything that was listed in Ken's post, but to no avail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Brother Chris.

Not knowing the previous posts but anytime a splitter is used if you have any open connections on the splitter then you should have a term cap on it. If you have no open connections then I would put a amplifier on the closest point where the cable comes in and another one at the 100' foot point. Unless you have a bad connector this should do it as long as the signal coming in at the first point is good.

On the outside of your house there should be a box for the cable. Open it up and verify the connections are tight. We had a fuzzy picture and internet kept crapping out. One of the connections on the box outside was barely holding on. Earth ground to the box is in case of lightning. It will have nothing to do with your reception. If you have an ohm meter disconnect the cable from the box outside. disconnect the connector to your tv and measure the ohms between the center wire on the connector and the outer threaded piece (connector going to Tv). It should have no ohms or read 0L on infinity. If you are reading ohms you have a short from the ground to the center connection somewhere in you cabling. If you crimped the connnetions that go to your tee just one of the wire grounds or the aluminum shielding touching the center conductor can be giving you grief.

We have an amplifier at the end of the wire, which is just about 150' from the cable box. I will try moving by the box first and then try what eurolarva said.
I'll keep you posted as to what happens.
Oh, the cable works fine in the house, and we have a splitter once it gets into the house. One for upstairs and one 2 for downstairs.
The only ones that are not working like they should are the ones that are 130-150' from the house(cable box).
