1989 155 hp commercial evinrude.
What is the difference between cross flow and loop charged engines and how do I tell which I have? Which is more desirable to run?
Coming from the power tilt is a cable with a green wire with a ring terminal, a blk and a wht wire going to a round terminal and a blu and a grn wire going to an oblong terminal. Can anyone identify these wires and where they go? I cannot find them in the shop manual. Thanks for the previous help and thanks in advance for any help on this post.

Re: more evinrude 150 questions

You have a crossflow. Later models changed to loop-charged. Your engine will make similar power to loop charged models, but probably use more fuel. Your wires probably come from the trim motor in the midsection. They connect to the black trim relay box at the back of the engine-mounted high on the exhaust cover. Some service manuals separate the wiring diagram for the trim from the normal ignition diagram.
