It seems Bush finally has realized that there was absolutely no evidence of any connection between Saddam and 9/11. Even Rummy has. We are still waiting on Cheney, but then he is slow on the uptake.<br /><br />I still don't understand why he is still giving speeches suggesting that we no longer have to worry about Saddam providing WMD's to terrorists.<br /><br />Why exactly should we have been worried about him giving something he did not possess to people he did not like and had no connection with? Unfortunately, Bush does not explain that in his speech. At least not yet.<br /><br />If it were me, and I was worried about terrorists getting WMD's (and I am) I'd worry more about places like Russia that have those weapons everywhere, and lots of people running around more than willing to sell them to anyone if they could get their hands on them.<br /><br />But that's just me, I guess. I am more concerned with real threats that make believe ones. <br />

Its time to flush your complete<br />ignorance of basic economics down the toilet and<br />understand how the world actually functions. This<br />concept will be very important for the next steps that<br />involve communism, facts about corporations, and the<br />inefficiencies of government.<br /> <br />Step 5: Say "no" to Communism and Socialism.<br /> <br />While this concept is obvious to most of the free<br />world, it is an important step in your recovery<br />process. If you have difficulty with this step, spend<br />a week living and working in Cuba.<br /> <br />Step 6: Corporations are not evil.<br /> <br />If you're reading this article online or in an e-mail,<br />its thanks to corporations. If you get some kind of<br />paycheck, you can thank corporations. If you work for<br />a non-profit or the government, you still have to thank<br />corporations. Capitalism<br />has created the greatest society in our worlds history.<br />Even communist countries need corporations to survive, so<br />enjoy a nice, hot cup of reality.<br /> <br />Step 7: The government is inefficient.<br /> <br />If you are one of those liberals who believe the<br />government should tax us more in order to take care of<br />society, you need to pay special attention to this step.<br />You need to realize that government bureaucracy will<br />waste most of your tax dollars, while the private sector<br />will put your money to much better use. Even most Democrat<br />politicians understand this to some degree, which is<br />why Hillary's socialist health care proposal was voted<br />down by a majority of both Democrats and Republicans.<br />Go to your local post office or call the IRS to ask a<br />tax question if you need a reminder about government<br />inefficiency.<br /> <br />Step 8: The earth is not your "mother", and its not dying.<br /> <br />The time has now come to stop your donations to<br />Greenpeace, The Sierra Club, and every other EnviroNazi<br />organization to which you belong. Face the reality that<br />the earth, society, and our environment are better off<br />today than ever in recorded history and that they are<br />continuing to improve. I realize that many of you tree<br />huggers will have a very difficult time letting go of<br />the Douglas Fir on this one. I would suggest reading The<br />Skeptical Environmentalist by Bjorn Lomborg. Mr. Lomborg<br />is a former member of Greenpeace and is currently a<br />statistics professor at a university in Denmark. He<br />set out to prove the world was in bad shape and ended up<br />surprising himself by proving the exact opposite.<br /> <br />Step 9: Stop smoking the wacky tobaccy.<br /> <br />Okay, some of you might need to enter another 12-step<br />program to complete this step. Marijuana is distorting<br />your sense of reality, and you need to stop using it.<br />Besides, you'll save a fortune on snacks.<br /> <br />Step 10: Eat a hamburger.<br /> <br />If God didn't intend for us to eat animals, he wouldn't<br />have made them out of meat. You can put your sprouts and<br />tofu on the hamburger, but get some meat into you. You'll<br />look and feel better than you ever imagined. You can always<br />remind yourself that Adolf Hitler was a vegetarian to get<br />you through this step.<br /> <br />Step 11: Stop re-writing political history.<br /> <br />Its now time to admit that Bill Clinton is a<br />lying-cheating-sexist-racist-rapist jackass, Hillary<br />Clinton is one of the worst role models for women in<br />this country, Al Gore really did lose the 2000<br />election by every vote tabulation you attempt, Ronald<br />Reagan ended the Cold War and didn't create the homeless<br />problem, John McCain is not a typical Republican, and<br />Jimmy Carter is a nice man but has one of the worst<br />presidential records of anyone in history.<br /> <br />Step 12: Be a missionary.<br /> <br />Once you have completed the previous steps to<br />overcoming liberalism, its time for you to share this<br />awakening with others who are not as fortunate. That's all really cute, and I appreciate all the time it took you to come up with.<br /><br />It might be a more effective debating tool to point out where I might be in error, however.<br /><br />Oh, and use some evidence and facts this time. For example, To say that Saddam has the "means and opportunity" doesn't cut it. What are the means and where was the opportunity?<br /><br />He had no weapons, and even if he had, he had no means of delivering them, for example. He was boxed in in a no fly zone, and couldn't have flown a paper plane out of it.<br /><br />Oh, and you can say that, hey, he hid the weapons from us. Again with no evidence whatsoever. But for the moment, let's say he did, and they are easily portable. So now in the country we have terrorists of every color streaming in and out of that country seemingly unchecked. I guess they could be hauling these wmd's out of the country to keep us from finding them. How again did this achieve any of our supposed goals, and make us safer than we were?<br /><br />Oh, and I love the socialist communist and whatever else you threw in there diatribe. Where did that come from? I suspect the theory is if you cannot find concrete things to disagree and debate, you can always simply make up things as you go along. go ahead, if you want to, but it still is not a very effective debating tool...

That is totally AWESOME Ralph....thanx for that post. I still see no info coming from PLYWOODY to give one good reason we should not of kicked butt in Iraq, just complaining about its not over yet or in " HIS " mind it wasnt perfect. Truthfully Plywoody ole' boy what would your solution to the problem be . If you would only show one good alternative maybe more people would take you serious. Oh and by the way the problem wasnt just he had WMD or ties to 9/11 it was he was as evil and rotton as you could get and somebody had to do it, So once again the USA pulled the worlds butt out of the burner before too much damage happened. Just a question Ply....I know your profile says different but are you from France?

I also don't have a problem with plywoody. He's been a consistant source of entertainment and exercise.<br /><br />I enjoy the rights we have in this country. Debate, dissent or just simply being wrong is just a few that plywoody enjoys.<br /><br />Through plywoody I've learned that the left isn't as keen as it thinks it is. That thier arguement is incomplete, plays on emotion and is easily transparent.<br /><br />It's easy to see why the pendulum is swinging back to the right.<br /><br />Thanks ply for being part of this lesson. <br />And I hope that I've help a little with your negativity.
