I have a 2000 25 hp Yamaha on a 15ft tri-hull with me and one person and fishing equipment I can get about 21 miles and hour out of the engine. Is there any thing I can do to get a few more mph out of this engine and boat.
thanks for any info anyone can offer.

Re: more mph

Once you get on plane, staybent, increasing speed depends a lot more on reducing drag than on increasing power.

Reduced drag means less of the boat in contact with the water and less of the engine hanging down in the water stream.

That means optimum prop, engine height, engine trim, boat loading and balance.

You tune those things as you tune a guitar. . . trial and adjustment.

Re: more mph

set your motor, one pin up on the trim .... planing will go a bit slower but top end will be better ....... or if you have some $$ to spare buy a nice performance rake cleaver speed prop .....
