I'm hoping to finish up the transom in the next few days, two layers of 3/4 ply. I've put one layer of 1.5oz mat and one layer of 18oz woven roving on the transom with twice that on the corners, used 2.5 gal epoxy so far. Is that enough or should I add more. Also in sanding I've got a lot of clean epoxy dust, can that be used as a thickener for filling voids etc. Lastly can I use aluminum for a backing plate inside on the stainless steel transom eyes, ski hook etc. I have some 1/4 inch stuff that I could use. wondering about different metals together.<br />Thanks<br />Dave
